VLOG: Blogger’s Journal by Paperchase

Stationery has been a love that has lasted a lifetime – starting with my Ordning & Reda discovery aged 14. It was a small shop full of beautiful coloured notebooks and I was in absolute heaven. My poor Mum had to shell out notebook after notebook and I would scribble down my musings of the day, which I would absolutely love to read now. This shop is till one of my firm favourites, as is the wonderful Paperchase – another oneย full of things that I could quite possibly buy one of everything…

When I was younger, stationery was a luxury; something pretty that I loved writing in. Now that I’m adulting, stationery is sort of a necessity as my brain has begun to lose the capacity to hold information there. I forget things, and often. I walk upstairs to get the empty milk bottle and come back down with only my hairbrush. There are so many trips up and down those stairs muttering to myself in the third person. Yes, I need stationery to organise myself, which is where I made this discovery.

I’ve been hearing good things about this Paperchase Blogger’s Journal, but at first wasn’t sure if I should buy one. Do I really need it? Surely I don’t need a specific journal to organise my blogging life? Turns out I do. Recently, as I’ve gained momentum with my blog, I find that I need a bit more of a schedule and a focus, so I don’t get totally overwhelmed. Because as bloggers, we want to do it all don’t we? There’s so much to do that the to do lists in my head were beginning to make me scream a little bit. So this discovery has been a godsend…I now have a weekly plan and I’m feeling so much better for it.

So after buying my little journal, which has sort of changed my life a little bit, I decided to review it in a vlog. Hope you enjoy it and let me know in the comments below if you have any organisational tips to share with your blogging!

This is not a sponsored post, I just really like my new Blogger’s Journal

It seems like a really good tool to help with blogging and organisation, but I think that I blog too sporadically for it to work that well for me. I can see why other people would find it useful however. (: You’re so natural in front of a camera! I wish I could Vlog haha x

I love this vlog! I love that you are a stationery addict like me! I spotted this in Paperchase but in the end I made my own journal using the ARC system from Staples (which I may do a vlog on!!!)

Darn! I went into paperchase last week but could only find normal journals which I am using for my general life (got the bullet journal bug) but this looks great – maybe when I’m a bit more established!

Oh Bridie this look ace! I’ll have to treat myself to one of these. I LOVE stationery, I think it’s a girl thing. I’m always popping into Paperchase in Manchester, it’s one of my favourite shops. Tor xx #PoCoLo

Right. Well I want this now, thanks for that! I really like the idea of a highlights section as it’s easy to forget the little mood boosters and it would be interesting to compare the scale of them over the course of the year. I did laugh at the monthly income bit, I could basically use that section for my creative doodles…! The only thing that puts me off is a lack of stickers. They would go completely against the professional style of the journal but who doesn’t love a sticker?! #tribe

Haha your first line made me laugh!! Sorry about that. Don’t worry about the stickers as Paperchase have a wide selection as I’m sure you know ๐Ÿ˜‰ Oh I feel another stationery trip coming on xx

Great vlog. I’ve never really looked at a blogging journal before but some of the features sound really handy. I’ve tried keeping everything digital, but like you I just like stationery! #fortheloveofBLOG

I really enjoyed your vlog – and you have such lovely lips (sorry, that sounds really creepy now I’ve written it down! I am normal, honestly!)
Looks like a useful thing, and it has palm leaves on it, which are so pretty. Enfield is now on the map, because we have our very own Paperchase. Danger.

I’ve been contemplating getting a blogging journal but not sure if it’s something I would use for a week and then get bored of it!! I’m so tempted now though- what is it about stationery?!! #fortheloveofBLOG

Oh goodness. I already have a super cute Hello Kitty notebook for my blogging stuff, but the Paperchase one is even more organised and more compact. I really want one now. I’m a sucker for stationery even though I don’t use most of it much. #fortheloveofBLOG

I loved hearing your review Bridie, and I really want a bloggers journal. It’s my birthday in a few weeks, so I’ve just shown my husband your post – hoping he’ll get me one for my birthday. I’ve pretty much set up the same thing in a notebook, but I’m only planning a few week’s ahead at the moment. At least with a blogger’s journal it’ll mean I’m thinking I’m little further in advance. Your blogger’s journal looks super organised, just like you are. Thanks so much for sharing at #fortheloveofBLOG. Claire x

  24. August 5, 2016 / 10:29 am

Oh my, I’ve been looking for something like this. I just don’t feel organised unless I have it written down in black and white what I’m doing. I’m definitely going to check this one out, it looks wonderful. #pocolo

Oh, I’m torn – I love the idea and the look of it – but bought a paper diary for the first time this year and don’t think I’ve opened it since at least March, and that’s more likely to have been retrospectively too. But I do always have a notebook in my bag – or several! Thanks for linking to #PoCoLo ๐Ÿ™‚

It looks like a great journal, I recently bought a filofax that I can carry around with me. For me it works great because I can combine it with all my home related stuff. This is one I’ll keep in mind for the future though, it is pretty! Thanks for linking to #PoCoLo xxx
