Spring Time with the Baby Jogger

I couldn’t be happier that Spring has finally sprung but it does mean one thing for us seaside dwellers – cold winds and showers for the next few months. It’s not until April or May that the summer sunshine seems to come along and when the showers are sprung on us, you have to be prepared for every eventuality. So I’m talking hats, gloves, scarves, coats and waterproof everything you can!

Recently we worked with the lovely team at Baby Jogger on their new City Tour buggy and we have since adopted it as our everyday essential. I’ve fallen head over heels for it but one thing I’ve only just go round to doing is accessorising it a bit to make sure Emma is warm and dry through the Spring months. The buggy has a very specific shape so I wasn’t able to use a universal raincover and footmuff unfortunately – but we’ve now got the two key things we need.

The Footmuff / Cosytoes

The cosytoes comes in a range of colours but we went with ‘taupe’ which is a charcoal colour as I thought it went nicely with the black buggy. It was very simple to put on and had a side zip so I can quickly put Emma into the buggy. These days, she’s not a massive buggy fan  sadly – I remember when she was younger and she’d love to sit in the buggy watching the world go by. But these days she is all about walking everywhere, except she’s also unknowingly in that in between phase of getting tired very easily. So it’s fantastic to have a little extra warmth for her as we all know that blankets in the buggy with a wriggly toddler, just doesn’t go together!

The Raincover

When I moved to Brighton, my other half told not to go anywhere without a hat. So I guess this is the buggy equivalent – don’t even think of going anywhere without a raincover. The buggy has a diagonal shape to it, and completely different to the Maclaren we previously had, so we opted for a new one. The City Mini Zip raincover fits really well and I love the zip fastening. With so many others, it was fastened by velcro and I’d get all flustered trying to get it on the buggy properly, but this one was very easy and hassle free.

With the addition of these two items, I think we are all set for the coming months with our new buggy and we got them both from Kiddies Kingdom, a one stop online shop for buggies, bathtime, bedtime and even toys. I am a massive fan of having everything all in one place to make it easier when I’m shopping for Emma’s things, so it was ideal!

Disclosure: Kiddies Kingdom sent us these items for the purpose of this review but all views and opinions are my own. The footmuff retails at £54.99 and the raincover at £20.99
