Review: CaseApp Custom Phone Case & Laptop Skin

It was quite a few months back that I got a new iPhone after months of everyone sounding like a robot when they called me…quite a relief all round when it was replaced with a new iPhone 5s. But ever since, I’ve been taking the risk of not having a phone case for it whilst also living with a toddler who loves my phone. More importantly, she loves taking my phone and inevitably dropping it. She’ll even have a good go at picking up and dropping my laptop, if given half the chance!

So when the lovely guys at CaseApp contacted me to see if I’d like to design my own phone case and laptop skin, it seemed like the perfect solution to protect my two lifelines and blogging necessities. I’ve also been wanting to print out some of the lovely family photos I’ve been taking in the past few months, so being able to personalise my phone case was a fantastic option.

Designing the phone case was very easy and the CaseApp website has lots of options for you to choose from – you can upload one image on its own, or make a collage with your existing photos. I decided to opt for the collage for my iPhone case using a mix of my favourite photos and my Bridie By The Sea logo. It was simple to upload the images and then I just needed to resize the images so they looked as I wanted to, but this didn’t take longer than 10 minutes. Then, for the laptop skin, I decided to use my favourite picture I’ve taken in Brighton. I took this one on New Year’s Day in 2013 – it’s become a bit of a tradition to walk along the seafront on that day each year and I love how the amber light shining through.

A few days after I ordered my cases, they arrived in a large flatpack envelope and I was very excited to open it up! The case was sturdy and very good quality – I’ve had some flimsy cases over the years that didn’t do anything to protect the phone, but I could see that the corners of the phone were well protected. I was so pleased with the design too, the pictures are all really clear and looks very glossy.  The laptop skin comes as an adhesive sticker label, which was very easy to apply. Even though I was quite nervous about doing it – I’d get those air bubbles all over, but this was foolproof! I love having a personalised laptop and was really pleased with the picture I chose as it came out so well.
