Review :: Mr Kipling Tea Set by Casdon

This is a collaborative post with Casdon

As Emma approaches three years old, I’m seeing how much she loves pretend play. We bought her a kitchen for Christmas and she loves making the whole family ‘cuppa teas’ followed by a round of pancakes with tomato and sugar, if we’re lucky. I love watching her in her kitchen, coming up with new things to make and when we got the opportunity to play with the new Mr Kipling Tea Set, we jumped at the chance.

The tea set by Casdon consists of replicas of Mr Kipling’s cakes including French Fancies, Battenburg, Angel Slices, Cherry Bakewell, Apple Pie and Jam Tarts! There is also 4 mini cup and saucers, 4 plates for the cakes, a tea pot and milk jug and sugar pot. I knew Emma would absolutely adore this 🙂 The Mr Kipling tea stand has a different shape for each cake so Emma had great fun matching the shape on the cake to the correct shape on the tea stand; it was perfect for her age as she has just learnt all her shape names.

Emma had such great fun unpacking all the cakes and tea cups, as they were each individually wrapped in tissue paper. Once we had set the tea set up, she got stuck in right away with serving us a little cake and a cup of tea alongside. It was great to encourage her roleplay and she really enjoyed playing with it. I would say it is perfect for her age group (2.5 years old to three years old) and I would recommend it for birthday presents for her friends too.

I thought the tea set was high quality and I was impressed that the pretend cakes resembled the real Mr Kipling’s cakes very much! It’s been a great accompaniment to Emma’s kitchen and she’s been playing with it every day since we opened up the box. The Mr Kipling Tea Set is available from most good retailers RRP £11.99 and is suitable for children aged 3-8 years old.

We were gifted the Mr Kipling Tea Set for the purpose of this review but all views and opinions are my own.
