Father’s Day is almost upon us and I’ve been having a think about presents for my other half. I’m sure I’m not alone in saying that sometimes I don’t show my better half how much we appreciate what he does for us. I write often about the sleep deprivation that rolls on and on in our world, and it makes it so easy to just forget to thank each other sometimes. But truth be told, he is my steady hand and I don’t know where we’d be without him. So this year I wanted to get him something a little more personal for Father’s Day.
Panasonic Wireless Speakers
My first idea was to get him something he’d really love. Before we had Emma, we would spend hours listening to music and now it just doesn’t happen. This is partly because of the speakers we have that now live upstairs in our bedroom! This Panasonic Speaker System looks fantastic – it is wireless so we can take it anywhere in the house; it looks like something he’d really love.
A Personalised Mug
Let’s not forget the classic Father’s Day present, which amazingly we haven’t given him yet: a personalised mug from Moonpig. In our family, we do love a mug and I’ve always thought he would love one with a cute picture of James and Emma. I also think it’s fantastic that Moonpig offer next day delivery; this was recommended to me when Emma was young as a perfect option when you’ve perhaps forgotten to get a thoughtful gift in time.
A Unique Framed Print
Next up, keeping to the personalised theme – I love this polaroid print on concrete from Not on the High Street. I’m a big fan of the website, especially for Father’s Day gifts as they are all so unique. It’s where I went to get our personalised stockings and baubles for Emma’s first Christmas and I’m so glad I did. I thought the polaroid print looks perfect to put on the bedside table and for once print out some of the amazing pictures we have taken digitally!
I love to be pampered and recently have fallen in love with Don’t Buy Her Flowers hampers. The Man Package that is on offer at the moment looks brilliant, with chocolate, socks, a magazine and craft beers or top notch coffee all included. This would be right up his street and I know he’d enjoy everything included.
When all else fails…music
Last but not least, is probably my other half’s personal favourite. Resident Records, a music shop in the Laines is where we always go to get him his Christmas presents. Music is something he really loves and in particular, he loves having CD’s rather than downloads on your phone. So I’m sure a gift voucher from here or HMV would go down a storm.
Does anyone else have a similar problem and really struggle finding gifts for their other half? I’m still undecided what we’ll go for but I hope he’ll enjoy one or two of them! I’d love to know what your plans are for present-buying so do let me know in the comments below.
