My Sunday Photo – 7th August 2016

View of Ditchling Beacon and the South Downs

Happy Sunday! Today’s photo is of Ditchling Beacon. I find it so utterly beautiful and being not too far from where I live, it’s somewhere I go often. The view is at one of the highest points in Brighton so you can see across the Downs perfectly and I hear there is always a walk you can do – but haven’t braved this yet. On the day I took this picture, the sky was bright blue and it was so still.

It’s my happy place, where I go when I feel like a few peaceful moments to myself.

It was introduced to me by my stepson, who loves comng here too, I think mainly because the Mr Whippy ice cream van is always there – whatever the weather – and serves up very big 99 flake ice-creams with so many sprinkles! I love that we share a love of the same place. I used to come here when Emma was young and even if it was too windy to get out the car (being at a height you can feel the wind big time!), it was just so lovely to look at the stunning scenery and take a moment to reset.

Do you have a favourite place to go?
