I’m not a natural cook. I go through phases of getting into scouring Pinterest for my favourite recipes and then a few weeks later, I go back to buying quick and easy things to eat for dinner. So when I see other bloggers sharing their delicious recipes week after week, I am quite simply in awe of them. They all look so delicious and over the past few weeks I’ve been bookmarking a few of them to share with you all. Here are my top 5 recipes, which as it happens make a little 3-course meal in itself.
I’ve been following Pat’s gorgeous blog since my first day of blogging and all her recipes are to die for. This one caught my eye particularly as it looks so simple to make and Emma absolutely love hummus. I thought this would be perfect with some warmed up pitta bread!
We love sausages in our house and pasta always goes down a storm too, so this recipe looks perfect. I am always on the look-out for recipes that both Emma and James can eat, otherwise I end up cooking for most of the afternoon. A wonderful hearty meal for the autumnal nights to come.
I eat rice almost every day and this recipe is right up my street! I particularly love the potato and spinach dahl from our local Indian so this is one I would love to try soon. It’s another easy to follow recipe which suits me down to the ground and I imagine it would be easy to add in a meat option too if we fancied.
As Emma is still quite a fussy eater, I am always trying to find finger food recipes, and this one looks fantastic. She loves frittata and quiches, so we’ll be trying this one soon. It would be great to have a picnic favourite that we can take out and about at the weekend, so we’re not so restricted to having lunch in the house.
This cake looks incredible! I saw this recipe in a magazine a few years back and I have still never tried it but it looks absolutely delicious. It also looks like quite a light cake and I would love to try it. I was especially surprised that the sloe gin made the icing pink, need to up my game in gin knowledge 😉
Hope you enjoyed my recipe round-up and do let me know if you have any favourite recipes in the comments below. Can’t wait to give some of these a try-out in the kitchen soon!
